GORES By Mike Chapman
─────────────────────
This utility can be used to load another application into memory, so
that it can be retrieved at a single keypress, even while another
program is running. Not quite true multi-tasking, but the next
best thing.
To use it, at the DOS prompt type:
GORES <Program Name>
Then, to pop-up your chosen program, press the hotkey [Ctrl][Left-
Shift][Tab].
If no Program Name is supplied then a DOS shell will be activated,
which can be terminated by typing EXIT. Also, if <Program Name> does
not exist or it is not on the PATH then GORES will load but the
application will not run when invoked by the hotkey.
The following points must be remembered when using the program:
1. It cannot be invoked while you are at the DOS prompt.
2. It will not work over graphic screens so that excludes
Windows.
3. It should not be loaded after SideKick, DesqView or
Communications software.
4. You cannot invoke it twice without leaving the original.
5. The program must be mentioned in the PATH, or the full path
name should be given.
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to write to me.
