    FLOPSEE will read from floppy disks and display information not shown by
    DIR. It will display directories, sub-directories, a sector map and
    individual sectors; it will also trace sector chains and show any
    fragmentation that exists and the sectors included in each block. 

    FLOPSEE will read all 40 track 9 sector single and double sided 5¼" disks
    and all 80 track 9 sector double sided 3½" disks. 

    FLOPSEE does NOT write to any disks or change the default directory. 

    There are several choices available from the control menu, each one is
    selected just by pressing the initial letter as indicated:- 

    <A> or <B> : 

    This selects the current drive for operations, it must ALWAYS be used
    after a disk change, otherwise you will get unpredictable results. 

    <R>oot directory : 

    This will display a list of the root directory for the current drive with
    decimal and hex values for each file showing start sector for the file,
    file length and total number of sectors used by the file. The option will
    also show hidden, system and deleted files, together with disk labels and
    removed sub-directories. 

    <S>ub-directory : 

    Use the <R>oot option to find the start sector of the sub-directory you
    require and then input this sector after pressing <S>ub. The data
    displayed is in the same format as for the root directory. 

    <G>et sector : 

    This selection requires input of the sector number you wish displayed and
    then, after copying this sector to the screen, offers "Get Next ? Y/N."
    The option can be used to locate data from deleted files, provided this
    has not been overwritten. 

    <T>race : 

    Use the <R>oot or <S>ub option to find the start sector of the file you
    wish traced, select <T>race and input this sector number when requested.
    The output will show the sector numbers from the start and belonging to
    the chain together with any fragmentation. 

    <M>ap of sectors : 

    Will display the sector map for the entire disk showing the current usage
    of every sector. 

    <P>arameter block : 

    This option will show the BIOS parameter block for the current drive
    together with a few additional parameters.
