LONDON.COM
This handy little pop-up conversion utility, produced in collaboration with
British Telecom, will show you instantly which of the two new London STD
codes any given exchange now belongs to. All you have to do is type LONDON
and enter the existing exchange code. Quick as a flash, the program comes up
with the new one.
You can also install London so that it can be called up from whatever
text-based program you're working with. Simply load it with the optional
parameter /R. The hot key sequence to call the program up is then
[Ctrl][Space]. Press [Esc] to pop London back out of the way.
Don't forget that these code changes come into effect on 6th May, and that
changes to computer databases of phone numbers will all have to be updated by
then. See the SuperDisk pages of PC PLUS for more details of the code changes.
