Hello and welcome to BILL CALCULATOR
This program estimates the cost of your
household Electricity and Gas Bills
*** Before you begin you will need your last bill ***
---------------------------------------------------------------------

-- Data Entry --
You will be prompted to enter several parameters before calculation can
take place:
eg: Previous Reading, Present Reading, Cost per Unit, etc:
To make the entry of data as easy as possible, you will find that the
computer will automatically RETURN after it has all the information it needs,
ie: The electricity previous reading is made up of five figures eg:(15370)
once all the figures have been entered, the computer will know that the end
of the entry has been reached and go on to ask for more data.
To enter money values, such as 'Pence per unit' simply enter the number
with a decimal point (eg: Cost=5.97p Enter 5.97). The computer will
return after the second figure after the decimal point (7) is entered. If you
have a value such as 5.9p, you can either enter 5.9 [Return] or 5.90.
The standing charge (Entered in pounds) will be treated in exactly the
same way ie: £8.50 will be entered as 8.50 or 8.5 [Return].
(See example figures later in text)
If you make a mistake during entry of the figures, press ESC to clear a
space ready for you to type the entry again. The delete key will not work.
