TESTCARD.EXE

As a Vision Supervisor working for BBC Television I am very critical of poor
quality pictures. TESTCARD.EXE is a simple program written to help adjust the
contrast and brightness settings on computer video displays.

Running it produces all sixteen available colours in CGA mode CO80. The waveform
resembles the colour bars used in broadcasting. The program can therefore be
used by engineers used to test equipment and recognisable waveforms as well as
those who just want a quick check that all is well.

Monochrome displays with CGA adaptors should see a range of tones called Step
Wedge (Stair-Case).

The source code was written in a fairly portable BASIC and then compiled. It 
runs with versions 3.2 and 3.3 of MSDOS on a variety of IBM PC clones and
compatibles and has been tested by many people without a single bad report.
