TOWN QUEST by Asa Atwell

TOWN QUEST is a role-playing adventure game. With a team of five characters
(chosen from a group of ten), your mission is to find and secure the magic
cup of Erater. Progress requires 'experience' points, which are obtained
engaging in battle with various brigands and beasts roaming the town. The
game is a good approximation of a simple campaign - with the computer as
DM (if you don't know what that stands for, you don't need to know).

No fancy graphics - which means you do not need a fancy graphics card either -
though you may be a bit pressed to tell the difference between a house and
a castle, or a chest and a key, if you are 'colourblind'. MDA card users
should load CGA2 before running, so they can see 'shades' for colours.

When you assemble your team, evaluate the usefulness of each member in terms
of his class (warrior, wizard, dwarf, elf, thief or troll), strength,
intelligence and dexterity.

As your team encounters problems, strength is lost; when a character's
strength reaches zero, he is dead. Look for rings, keys, gold pieces and
such. Remember that food will restore strength. Hints are available.

Full instructions should be consulted within the program.

Except when choosing a team, fighting or some other uninterruptible
activity, pressing 'Q' will quit the program.
