│    This is a graphics program which will  transform your PC into your own    │
│    "Laserium",  displaying  many  fascinating   patterns.   The  patterns    │
│    displayed are complex lissajous's figures (  - Pretty patterns to most    │
│    people).                                                                  │
│                                                                              │
│    It will run on  any  IBM  PC  or  compatible  with a suitable graphics    │
│    adaptor and requires DOS 2.2 or higher.                                   │
│                                                                              │
│    The program will identify the video  subsystem  in your PC, select the    │
│    most suitable one and then display a  pattern.  If LJ.COM can't find a    │
│    suitable graphics mode (This problem is  most likely to occur with IBM    │
│    compatible machines) but  your  PC  is  capable  of  using  one of the    │
│    following graphics modes :- CGA,  HGC,  EGA,  MCGA,  VGA; then you can    │
│    force LJ.COM to use a particular video by  entering LJ /x - where x is    │
│    the first letter of the video mode you want to use (C,H,E,M or V).        │
│                                                                              │
│    NOTE - If your PC is NOT  capable  of  using the selected mode it will    │
│      probably crash - requiring you to reboot your PC.                       │
│    NOTE - Even if LJ does appear to run, it is worth exiting from the        │
│      PC menu system and starting it up manually with the required            │
│      parameter. This may give better results.                                │
│                                                                              │
│    When you run the program one of  16 patterns will be randomly selected    │
│    and displayed on the  screen,  with  a  control  panel  beside it. The    │
│    controls are simple but require a  little getting used to. Online help    │
│    is available.                                                             │

│              │    The secret of good patterns is to get the   │              │
│              │        harmonics multiples of each other;      │              │
│              │    (1:2:2:4:2:2:4:1) - Have fun; EXPERIMENT    │              │

│    You can also select which of the 16 patterns is initially displayed by    │
│    entering LJ /nn -  where  nn  is  a  number  between  1  and 16. It is    │
│    possible to force the video  mode  and  select  a  pattern at the same    │
│    time. ( e.g. LJ /c /12 )                                                  │

│    Screen Printing - For hard copies of your best patterns.                  │

│                      adapters and a colour monitor. 16 colours of the        │
│                      rainbow displayed at top resolution.                    │
│                                                                              │
│    Colour Rotate   - Where each colour independently changes through the     │
│                      colours of the rainbow. Has to be seen to be            │
│                      appreciated !!                                          │
